Way cheaper than exercise equipment! Very good way to stay in shape.

I started doing the 7 minute workout almost every day and I used the web version of this app. It was perfect - simple and just what I needed. Since it was online though it only worked when I had a network connection and also the phone would go to sleep and the timer would stop. So I was very happy to see this as an app. It works great and again is just what I need. Its been an important part of trying to get more fit and Ive lost weight and gotten stronger with this as a part of my routine.
I started using the web version of the app over the summer which was great but required Internet connection to use (obviously). So I was really excited to see the developer had decided to port it to mobile. The app has a clean and intuitive interface and displays the information you want to see (like which exercise youre doing and how much time you have left) prominently. Great work.
I like the simplicity of it. The settings button (where one controls how long a set is, length of rest periods, and number of sets) is broken, even after re-install.
Its the 7 min workout in a simple app format. My only complaint is that the settings button does not work (but the default settings are fine). I would encourage the developer to fix this.
Simple. Easy and short. Gets me up off the couch!
The app gets you started on the workout and guides you through it in the most efficient way possible - open, start, workout - its perfect!
Simple, simple, simple. Ad thats just perfect.
Adequate but disappointing app because it brings "minimalist" to the experience at the expense of utility. It lacks any settings controls (like workout reminder, on-off switch for voice and instructions, workout guide access, etc.), proper how-to videos of each recommended exercise, and a tracker calendar for motivation and to track progress. *** If all you want is a timer, this app is for you - especially when it goes promotionally free, or you can just use your devices native clock/timer app. *** At least one other 7 minute app on the stores shelves has all that this one lacks with the same simple UI and it too goes free from time to time. *** Also, there are two things that trouble me: 1) The Developer has not chosen to update the app in over a year, in spite of so many changes to iOS, which suggests it is just a cash cow web portal and, 2) Nearly all of the reviews are similarly brief, five and four-star, and seem to be written by "people" who hate to be specific about why they rate this app so high, raising the question: Are most of the reviews done by shills?
Tried to open app this morning after latest update and it suddenly asking for login - not sure I ever had an account, but no matter what I do they tell me I need to enter a valid password. Why should I be providing personal data when I paid for this app? Also, Im using it bc I have no time, so the wasted time is extra frustrating. Deleting and getting one of the many free versions.
... Now I cant tell, due to the mandatory login account. Splash screen of updated version allows only sign in or sign up. Theres no announcement, no support link, nothing. There are other apps out there for this.
Especially while traveling
I used to really like this app, now it ask for a review on every start-up, and it demands that you sign up for an account, even after you say "no thanks".
I excitedly opened this app the first time and signed in - I had no choice. I am on an iPod 4Gen with the smaller sized screen an couldnt get to the no thanks screen. The next day I opened the app and it wanted me to sign in again, but every time I clicked "Sign In" the app crashed. I was only able to open this app once. Now all I get is crashes with no option to NOT sign in.
I use 7min often and really appreciate the balanced and thorough workout it gives me. I wish it didnt aske for me to review it EVERY time I open it and I wish it posted to Facebook when I choose to have it do it.
and now its riddled with annoying "login here" and "tweet about us here" and "rate on the iTunes Store"! Which Im doing with 1 star because thats my policy for apps that bug me to rate them. Originally it was a solid 4-star app, though. The updates killed it.
This app started a new habit for me - a health habit. Of course I could do 7 minutes a day for my health! Mostly, I did. And soon started doing two rounds - 14 minutes. Then added dumbbells. Then a better diet. The weight loss made it easier to hike, run, and bike. My increased fitness level made me enjoy yoga again and other physical activities. My wife and I are having more fun together. At 54 the changes took a little patience and care to avoid over doing and setbacks. But what a gift. And it started with just 7 Minutes!
There is no reason to require sign in other than to exploit my data. Very lame.
